New World, PAK’nSAVE & Four Square launch Club+ - a smarter way to save on groceries

  • New rewards and benefits programme designed for how New Zealanders really shop
  • Club+ launches in stores from 15 June 2026
  • Customers are encouraged to join up  early

New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square today announced the launch of Club+, a new, smarter rewards and benefits programme focused on helping customers save money and find value across every shop.

From 15 June customers can use their Club+ card to get more from their shop at New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square. The launch marks a major milestone for the Foodstuffs North Island and Foodstuffs South Island co-operatives, bringing their brands together on a single customer platform for the first time.

Club+ makes it easier for customers to earn rewards and find value across the co-operative’s family of brands, however they choose to shop.

Brendon Lawry, Acting Chief Customer Officer, Foodstuffs New Zealand, said the programme was designed to evolve alongside changing customer expectations and technology.

“We know more than three quarters of customers regularly shop at more than one supermarket^. Club+ is designed to reflect those changing shopping habits by giving people a single rewards and savings programme they can use across Foodstuffs brands, so the value and benefits travel with them wherever they choose to shop.

“It’s about making it simpler for customers to access relevant savings and benefits through one card, while also creating a more personalised experience over time.”

Club+ has been developed to be streamlined, with a digital card instantly available in the Club+, New World and PAK’nSAVE apps. Going digital provides the fastest, simplest access to the full Club+ experience, while still retaining the option for a plastic card if preferred.

The opportunities to scan, score and save with Club+ stay true to each brand’s unique offering.

More opportunities to earn and spend Club+ Dollars

1 Club+ Dollar is equal to $1. Customers earn Club+ Dollars on qualifying purchases at New World at a rate of 0.75% and at Four Square at a rate of 0.38% when they scan their Club+ card.

Club+ Dollars can be spent as full or partial payment on groceries at New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square.

While PAK’nSAVE customers do not earn Club+ Dollars, they can spend Club+ Dollars earned at New World and Four Square. PAK’nSAVE continues to focus on delivering low prices, with Club+ adding extra value through fuel discounts and personalised Club+ Picks.

Club+ members can also earn Airpoints™. If a customer chooses to earn Airpoints, every 5 Club+ Dollars earned will automatically convert to 5 Airpoints and be credited to their nominated Koru account.

Goodbye to Clubcard

Club+ will replace New World Clubcard, which will be phased out over the coming months.  Lawry said for over a decade Clubcard has delivered savings for New Zealanders, and some people will be sad to say goodbye.

“The good news is Club+ is even better with greater flexibility because it can be used across New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square.”

Transferring to Club+ has been designed to be as simple as possible, with existing Clubcard members carrying across their New World Dollar balances, shopping history and preferences when they join Club+.

“We’re excited to bring Club+ to New Zealanders,” said Lawry. “The programme is easy to join, and we’d encourage customers to join early so they’re ready to start scanning and saving from launch day on June 15.”
